rarescale course on the scottish island of Raasay

30th March - 3rd April 2009

The course will be held at Raasay House on the stunning Isle of Raasay (a 15 minute ferry journey from the Isle of Skye), and will be run by:

Carla Rees - alto and bass flutes
Sarah Watts - bass clarinet
Michael Oliva - composition

The course will include masterclasses, individual tuition, ensemble work and a chance to perform in a concert.

The solo basss clarinet course will include lectures on history, technique and repertoire, masterclasses, individual tuition, ensemble work(including Scottish Music!) and a chance to perform in a concert.

The course is avaliable for everybody from beginner to advanced and repertoire will be discussed before the course to ensure that everybody has music to prepare in advance.

Time will also be made avaliable to explore this beautiful island with spectacular views over to the Cullins on the Isle of Skye.

Fees: £300
Students in Full Time Education - £200
